Christmas Bucket list

I don't feel like Christmas will really begin until School break up next week, so I've put together a little bucket list of 'things to do' during the holidays to get us all in the festive spirit and create some special memories in the lead up to the big day!

Write a letter to Santa.

(ok we really should be getting on with this one now! - Perhaps Ethan's letter will also give me some inspiration on what else to get him. 'A surprise' just doesn't help me there kiddo!)

Visit Santa

I've already done this with Macie but I definitely want to take them both together to the garden centre to pay Santa a visit.

Go for a walk round the neighbour to see the Christmas lights

Macie is always spotting the 'pretty lights' on peoples houses when we drive past in the car, so I think she will really appreciate talking a walk and seeing them close by.

Christmas movie night with hot chocolate

I absolutely can not wait to do this one. Perhaps I can finally watch 'The Grinch'.

Have a sing and dance to Christmas songs

We all love singing and dancing around the tv and swinging the kids around in the air. Simple idea, yet oh so much fun.

Go to Chris Tingle at Church

This has become one of our little traditions at Christmas time. The community come together in the local church where we sing Christmas Carols. The children get to take a piece of the nativity up to the front and then sit down to listen to a Christmas story. Then its time to light the candlestick in the Orange. (By this point Ethan has already eaten the sweets off of his). At the end we get to tuck into a mini buffet.... the best part!

Make Christmas Crafts

I've already got some Christmas activity packs for the kids, and a couple of clay baubles to decorate. I  think we might make our own Christmas cards too!

And there you have it, affordable activities for you and the kids to get stuck into over the holiday season. I've been mindful of not making it too strenuous and busy as I will be working over Christmas and also doing Uni work.

What are your Christmas plans? I'd love to hear some more simple ideas.

See you tomorrow (well tonight seeing as I'm 15mins too late on this one).

Love Sarah xxx
